* The Operating Room (OR) at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment supporting a wide range of procedures across multiple specialties. Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams ensures optimal patient outcomes throughout the surgical experience.

/Shift:
** Full-Time, Days (with flexibility based on departmental needs)

+ Serve as a frontline, department-based nursing leader within the Operating Room.

+ Support daily clinical operations and ensure safe, high-quality patient care across perioperative services.

+ Formally and/or informally supervise charge nurses, perioperative RNs, surgical technologists, and support staff within the OR.

+ Assist with staff coordination, case scheduling support, staffing assignments, and patient throughput.

+ Contribute to staff performance evaluations, coaching, and development initiatives.

+ Promote adherence to regulatory standards, infection prevention protocols, and surgical safety guidelines.

+ Drive team performance, engagement, and accountability within the department.

+ Collaborate with Nurse Manager and leadership team to implement departmental goals, strategic priorities, and quality improvement initiatives.

* Minimum Qualifications:

*
* + Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

+ Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or Compact State.

+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.

* Preferred Qualifications:

*
* + Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related advanced degree.

+ Previous leadership experience in perioperative services or surgical environment.

+ CNOR certification or other specialty certifications aligned with perioperative nursing (preferred).
