** Position Purpose*
* The Security Officer is responsible for the security of hospital employees, patients/families, visitors, and property.

** As a Security Officer you will:*
* + Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions **.*
* + Recognizes special needs/concerns of populations served and adjusts communication accordingly, i.e., language barrier, diminished hearing, concrete terms, etc.

+ Does Patrol Tours

+ Monitors Close Circuit TV (CCTV)

+ Responds to all Emergency Code alerts

+ Other duties as assigned by manager

* Minimum Qualifications:

*
* + High School graduate or equivalent

+ Valid Driver's license in good standing

+ Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

+ Possess the ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, patients and visitors

+ Perform alone or as a team member in the management of aggressive or violent behavior through non-abusive physical intervention.

+ 1-year Prior hospital experience preferred
