Sr. Property Accountant

LHH is working on behalf of our fantastic client in the Fairfield County, CT who has an immediate Sr. Property Accountant staffing need.
This role is hybrid 3/2 with 2 specific days in office. The ideal candidate will have a mixed skillset to manage a portfolio of properties across multiple asset classes including industrial, multifamily, retail, and office.

• Preparing interim and year-end financial statements and rent rolls
• Performing account reconciliations
• Preparing and reviewing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries
• Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries
• Coordinating with outside accountants to supply information for preparation of tax returns
• Creating financial reports and annual budgets for investors
• Preparing 1099/1096/W2 forms
• Working with Yardi accounting software

• At least 7 years of real estate accounting experience including CAM reconciliation, lease review, and entry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Positive attitude and creative
• Superior organization skills and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
