The Senior Customs Compliance Advisor supports the execution of Bob’s customs compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with all U.S. and international trade regulations. This role requires deep regulatory expertise, strong project management skills, and a continuous improvement mindset to strengthen and scale customs compliance operations. You will apply advanced knowledge of import/export regulations, tariff classification, country-of-origin determination, valuation, free trade agreement qualification, and internal controls to enhance Bob’s trade compliance framework.

You will support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of customs compliance programs aligned with regulatory requirements, company policies, and the strategic direction set by the Director of Customs Compliance.

This position partners closely with Inbound Logistics, Sourcing, Merchandising, Legal, and Finance to mitigate risk, improve processes, streamline documentation, and support an audit‑ready posture. The role may be home‑based with periodic on‑site presence as needed.

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. and international customs laws and regulations.

  • Proficiency with trade compliance tools such as ACE and advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Experience with internal/external audits, CTPAT validations, post‑entry reviews, and broker oversight programs.
  • Strong ability to design and implement internal controls to mitigate customs risk.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Experience leading teams or mentoring staff; able to influence and collaborate across multiple business units.
  • Ability to develop and deliver customs training programs.
Program & Project Management
  • Skilled at managing timelines, milestones, and deliverables for major compliance initiatives.
  • Capable of leading multi‑departmental projects that drive efficiency and alignment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or a related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of experience in supply chain operations and/or trade compliance.
  • Experience interpreting and applying U.S. and international trade regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead complex compliance projects and programs.
  • Prior team leadership or mentorship experience.
  • U.S. Customs Brokerage Certification preferred but not required.
