Job Description & How to Apply Below

Founded in 2015, Northern Right Capital manages long-only and long-short hedge fund strategies

focused on investing in small/mid-cap companies, primarily in the TMT and Consumer sectors. We

invest with a fundamentally driven approach and an owner's mentality, allowing us to make

concentrated investments over a multi-year timeframe. We look for competitively advantaged, cash

flow-generating businesses with hidden assets or improving fundamentals that are misunderstood

by the market.

We operate with a small, collaborative investment team with a performance-driven and

entrepreneurial culture. Given our trajectory, we are expanding the team in tandem with the firm's

growth.

We are looking for an analyst to join our investment team in our Darien, CT office. The analyst will

work closely with the fund’s investment team, participating in all aspects of the investment process,

including idea generation, fundamental company and industry research, financial modeling, and

preparation of investment memos. We believe this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated

individual to play an integral role in a growing fund.

To be considered, candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and a brief write-up on a stock (long or short).

Ideal candidates will have the following characteristics:
  • Relevant work experience: 2+ years of work experience in investment banking, private equity, equity sales, or buy- or sell-side equity research.
  • A passion for fundamental investing and curiosity for learning about businesses and industries.
  • A demonstrated history of personal and professional success.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and financial statement analysis.
  • Intellectual honesty and integrity.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Unrelenting attention to detail and an outstanding work ethic.
  • A good attitude. We are looking for someone who is hungry and humble.
