A leading real estate investment firm is seeking a highly analytical Associate with strong experience in real estate debt, credit analysis, and underwriting
. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with hands-on experience evaluating commercial real estate transactions, particularly bridge lending and construction financing
.

Qualifications
  • 2–5+ years of experience in real estate debt, commercial real estate finance, private credit, investment banking, or a related field
  • Strong experience in commercial real estate underwriting and credit analysis
  • Direct experience with bridge loans and/or construction financing strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of CRE fundamentals, valuation, leverage, cash flow, and debt structures
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to independently assess transactions and communicate clear investment recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite commercial real estate debt opportunities, with a focus on bridge and construction loans
  • Analyze property-level cash flows, rent rolls, operating statements, budgets, borrower financials, and market data
  • Build and review detailed real estate financial and underwriting models
  • Evaluate loan structure, leverage, LTC/LTV, DSCR, collateral, repayment sources, and exit strategies
  • Perform detailed credit analysis and identify key transaction risks and mitigants
  • Conduct due diligence on sponsors, borrowers, properties, and markets
  • Prepare investment committee materials, credit memos, and transaction analyses
  • Collaborate with senior investment professionals, originators, borrowers, brokers, and third-party advisors
  • Monitor existing loans and investments, including construction progress, property performance, and business plans
  • Support portfolio management and ongoing asset surveillance
