Summary of the Job: The Commercial Housekeeper is responsible for multiple tasks ranging from washing and folding laundry items to keeping buildings clean and in orderly condition. The Commercial Housekeeper maintains cleanliness in compliance with agency and health standards.

• Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment.
• Sorting linens, towels, clothing by client.
• Washing items following proper sanitation protocols.
• Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener.
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of floors.
• Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles.
• Dusting restaurant furniture, walls, and equipment.
• Scrubbing, sanitizing, and supplying restroom facilities.
• Utilize personal safety plan for managing emotions and interactions with staff and clients.
• Represent agency favorably at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

• At least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED and one or more years of full-time experience previously required to perform tasks assigned or successful completion of a formal training curriculum from a technical college or school pertaining to skills needed to perform tasks assigned.
• Adequate training or experience to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform duties assigned.
• Physical health to perform tasks assigned, occasionally lift/carry parcels up to 50 pounds.
• Should be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Display the motivation and desire to learn and develop advanced skills.
