We are seeking an experienced IT Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking, network security, Windows operating systems/servers, and Windows applications. This role involves delivering onsite and remote support, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction across a wide range of environments.
Responsibilities- Provide onsite and remote technical support to clients, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, desktops, and applications.
- Troubleshoot and support networking environments, including LAN/WAN, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining network security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, endpoint security, etc.).
- Perform system updates, patches, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with internal MSP team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Document all work performed, including technical procedures and customer communications.
- Support project deployments including server migrations, network upgrades, and application rollouts.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive client experience.
- 2–4 years of IT field service or MSP experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10/11) and Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365 administration.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with network security tools and practices (VPN, endpoint protection, multifactor authentication).
- Hands-on experience with common Windows-based business applications.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required for field service).
