This role is for a family law attorney who is capable, motivated, and ready for real ownership — not continued shadowing.

At Freed Marcroft, attorneys at this level are expected to take responsibility for their matters early, exercise judgment, and grow through doing. We provide guidance, collaboration, and direct feedback — without micromanagement.

• Serve as primary attorney on contested and negotiated family law matters
• Make day-to-day decisions with senior support available
• Draft and argue motions, appear in court, and counsel clients directly
• Participate meaningfully in case strategy and long-term planning

This role is: ownership, judgment, growth, candor

This role is not: shadowing, task-only work, or constant oversight

• 3–5 years of family law experience
• Connecticut bar admission
• Firm or team-based practice experience
• Strong writing, organization, and professional judgment

• ~1,400 annual billable hours
• No rainmaking requirement (but additional comp when you do bring in a client)
• Hybrid structure with strong support
