Forklift Operator / Yard Helper

Location: Darien, CT

Full-time position assisting with lumberyard operations, loading and unloading building materials, operating forklifts and other machinery, and providing customer service.

• Load and unload building materials using forklifts, saws, and trucks.
• Assist customers with product inquiries and locate materials.
• Read receipt tickets and move materials throughout the yard.
• Maintain organization of building materials and safety protocols.
• Support other yard operations as needed.

• Ability to meet physical requirements of lifting building materials and operating machinery.
• Flexible and adaptable to changes that quickly affect this job.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented.
• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
