Structural Engineer

As a Structural Engineer, you will perform structural engineering design and analysis for identified systems under the guidance of a senior engineer. You will be actively involved in project meetings to coordinate activities and communicate designs, assist with the preparation of engineering deliverables, and participate in field surveys, condition assessments, and site investigations. Additionally, you will perform construction administration tasks, including submittal reviews, responding to RFIs, and observing construction-related activities.

• 0-5 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
• EIT certification required.
• Experience in building design.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Experience with Revit is a plus, training provided if not.
• Experience with RAM Structural System and SAP
  2000 is a plus.
• Applicable internship experience for new graduates.

The office has an open-office environment with a collaborative atmosphere where you will work closely with others on the Building Structural team. The structural team consists of senior and junior engineers, and you will be part of building this team. Projects include public work, residential work, and more. You will work in the office four days a week, with remote half-days on Fridays.

The standard workweek is 40 hours with the possibility of occasional overtime. The office hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Fridays. The dress code is business professional from Monday to Thursday, with a more relaxed business casual on Fridays. The office is in a LEED Platinum building, with ample parking and amenities such as a kitchen.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Darien, IL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a hybrid position in Darien,IL.
