Health Assistant
Provides general health assistance to students. Data entry of student attendance. Coordinates routine health screenings (vision, hearing, lice), and makes referrals as necessary. Organizes work according to school schedule. Records health information for students in cumulative records. Prepares routine health correspondence with parents. Serves as health advocate for students. Notifies parents of accident or illness. Coordinate management system to administer medications to students ve as health liaison between school, physicians, parents, county health department, and community.
Assists with routine school office tasks when needed. The position is 6.75 hours per day during the school year August-June. The district will set salary based on past experience. Necessary skills: people oriented individual, technology skills needed, works well a variety of individuals and confidential information, organized and efficient. Terms of employment: ten-months. Hourly during student school day (6.75 hours per day).
Starting rate of $16.72 per hour. IMRF paid sick/personal days, health/dental/vision benefits available. Interested candidates should complete on-line application.
