Groundcare Mechanic

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Due to internal movement within the business, my client is seeking an experienced Groundcare Mechanic to join their team. This is a 50/50 split role between workshop-based repairs and mobile field service work.

• Undertake servicing, inspections, and safety checks on all machinery in line with manufacturer guidelines and service schedules
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to ground care equipment and associated machinery
• Perform regular checks on power tools, ensuring all guards and safety devices are fitted and fully operational
• Carry out minor vehicle repairs and coordinate major repairs through approved supply partners
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Ensure full compliance with company and depot procedures

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant mechanical discipline (or time-served equivalent experience)
• Proven experience as a Groundcare Technician, Plant Fitter, or Small Tools Fitter
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence

• £28,000 - £33,000 starting salary
• 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
• Company van and fuel card for business use
• Uniform and PPE provided
• Monday to Friday working - no weekend rota
