Job PurposeWe are seeking a Fire Door Carpenter to complete inspections, maintenance, repair and replacement. The role will involve travelling to healthcare and public buildings on various contracts for the NHS in the South East. A UK driving licence is required and a company van and fuel card will be provided.
Key Responsibilities- Inspection of fire doors to assess whether repairs or replacements are required.
- Fire Door Maintenance / Remedial Works.
- Installation of new Fire Doors and frames.
- Familiar with current fire regulations to ensure compliance.
- Conduct inspections ensuring fire doors comply with fire safety regulations.
- Adjust door frames, ironmongery, and seals for proper fit and function.
- Identify and rectify any fire door defects.
- Ensure all work meets industry regulations and safety standards.
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

- NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Carpentry and Joinery.
- Previous experience with maintenance, repair and replacement/installation of fire doors.
- Experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals, care homes etc. (not essential; other sectors considered).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- A valid UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
