Rydon Maintenance are seeking a skilled Carpenter with experience inspecting, repairing and replacing Fire Doors to join our repairs and maintenance team.

We are seeking a Fire Door Carpenter to complete inspections, maintenance, repair and replacement. The role will involve travelling to healthcare and public buildings on various contracts for the NHS in the South East. A UK driving licence is required and a company van and fuel card will be provided.

• Inspection of fire doors to assess whether repairs or replacements are required.
• Fire Door Maintenance / Remedial Works.
• Installation of new Fire Doors and frames.
• Familiar with current fire regulations to ensure compliance.
• Conduct inspections ensuring fire doors comply with fire safety regulations.
• Adjust door frames, ironmongery, and seals for proper fit and function.
• Identify and rectify any fire door defects.
• Ensure all work meets industry regulations and safety standards.
• Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Carpentry and Joinery.
• Previous experience with maintenance, repair and replacement/installation of fire doors.
• Experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals, care homes etc. (not essential; other sectors considered).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
• Excellent Customer Service skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• A valid UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
