Carpenter - 1st and 2nd fix

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced carpenter for an immediate start on a large residential project in Maidstone.

You will be reporting to a part-time site manager and must have proven experience of:

• Roofing Carpentry including setting out & cut and pitching main roofs and forming dormers
• First fix carpentry and associated enabling works for other trades
• Second fix carpentry to include doors, skirting, architraves etc.

Experience of kitchen fitting / joinery work would be an advantage but is not essential.

A working knowledge of, or personal experience of other trades would be a bonus although specialist contractors are separately employed.

High standards of workmanship, a good attitude and an ability to communicate clearly are essential.

You will be assisted by a skilled labourer and part of a team that has worked with us for more than a decade.

You must have your own tools and transport and will be self-employed.

There is a larger, long-term working foreman opportunity if the candidate proves to be successful in their delivery.
