Skilled Groundworker; Externals

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for experienced Finishers to join our groundwork and RC frame teams on a busy project in Dartford. You will play a key role in a critical stage of the project ensuring all Internal & External groundwork elements are completed to specification on time and to a high standard of workmanship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carrying out finishing works to kerbs edgings slabs and concrete surfaces
• Ensuring all external works are completed to line level and specification
• Completing snagging and final quality checks on groundwork packages
• Installing and finishing manholes covers and frames
• Trowelling patching and making good concrete and surfaces
• Working from drawings and setting out details where required
• Supporting groundwork teams to bring projects to completion
• Maintaining a clean safe and organised work area
• Adhering to all site health & safety standards at all times

REQUIREMENTS:

• CSCS Card (essential)
• Proven experience as a Finisher within groundworks or concrete frame projects
• Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Good understanding of levels alignment and finishing standards
• Strong awareness of site health & safety
• Reliable punctual and able to work well with other trades
• Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE:

• CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) tickets*
• Experience in kerbing paving and external finishing works
• Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques
• Experience using laser levels or setting out equipment
• Dumper / Roller / Excavator tickets
• 5 years of experience in groundworks or finishing roles
• Established gangs or teams with a strong track record
