Electrical Estimator – FR

Company: Guillevin

Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia (or St John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador depending on candidate)

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Projects team and Sales Representatives;
  • Manage all aspects of a customer purchase order including communication, documentation, coordination of material supply and delivery, invoicing;
  • Monitor and track project progress and handle issues as they arise;
  • Report and escalate to management issues as needed;
  • Liaise with customers to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives;
  • Respond to customer requests in a timely manner;
  • Act as the point of contact to communicate to the project team internally and externally;
  • Negotiate pricing and sales terms with vendors per manager criteria, and resolve customer service issues promptly;
  • Maintain technical knowledge on product lines and keep a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Grade 12 education;
  • Five (5) years’ experience in a similar position (asset);
  • Excellent verbal, non‑verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good negotiation skills;
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills;
  • Understanding of vendor relationships;
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Highly flexible with strong organisational and time‑management skills;
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a fast‑paced environment;
  • Team player, adaptable, energetic with a positive professional attitude and manner;
  • Highly organised; self‑motivated to improve business skills;
  • Knowledge of the electrical distribution sales model (asset);
  • Knowledge of price sheets and matrices (asset);
  • Enjoy working with the public and desire to improve yourself and advance at Guillevin.
