Atlantica’s Finance team is growing!We’re adding a Junior Financial Accountant to our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. At Atlantica, a member of The Cahill Group of companies, we execute commercial and industrial construction projects and services in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
This Might Be The Right Fit For You If- You have a degree or diploma in Accounting (new grads welcome!)
- You have excellent time management and organizational skills
- You’re interested in pursuing your CPA designation
- You have strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft programs, as well as Accounting software (experience with Jonas is an asset)
- You bring a positive, proactive attitude and a passion for process improvement

- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and associated work papers for review and submission to stakeholders.
- Reconcile intercompany balances between related parties including divisions, companies, and joint ventures.
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile and post monthly credit card purchases in general ledger.
- Review outstanding Purchase Orders with project managers and close out completed purchase orders.
- Address external auditor requests by providing reports, samples, and supporting documentation for requested transactions.
- Monitor accounts receivable process, including reviewing and reporting on outstanding balances, communicating with clients and internal parties to facilitate payment and taking credit card payments.
- Support accounts payable team as needed.
- Other Finance and Accounting duties as assigned.
