Position: Facilities Manager Role
Step into a vital role with Nova Scotia Community College as an Assistant Facilities Manager in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Oversee day-to-day operations, including building maintenance and equipment management for optimal campus functionality.

In this full-time position reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will ensure the safe operation of Akerley Campus facilities. With at least five years of experience in facilities maintenance, you'll manage custodial staff and equipment, maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. Your leadership will help create a secure and efficient learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily facilities operations and maintenance activities

• Manage unionized custodial staff assignments and duties

• Lead Facilities team during the Facilities Manager's absence

• Ensure timely maintenance and entry of equipment data

• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and physical security standards

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years in facilities maintenance leadership

• Relevant educational qualifications in Trades or Building Services

• Familiarity with software like Microsoft Office and Megamation

• Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety standards

• Valid Nova Scotia driver's license
