Natural Resources Canada is seeking a student for a PhD focused on Marine Geology. You will work closely with experts at the University of New Brunswick, participating in fieldwork and laboratory analyses. Responsibilities will involve investigation of deglaciation processes in the Arctic and Antarctic, contributing to national and international scientific discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate late Pleistocene and recent deglaciation in polar regions
• Develop research on Arctic marine ecosystem evolution
• Participate in scientific fieldwork and expeditions
• Analyze marine sediment cores for research
• Present findings at conferences
Requirements:
• Enrolled in a PhD program in Earth Sciences
• Degree in Earth Sciences or related field
• Experience in marine sedimentology
• Conducted research at sea on vessels
• Proficiency in English for research communication
