Position: Full-Time Truck and Transport Technician
Miller Waste Systems in Dartmouth, NS seeks a full-time Truck and Transport Technician. This role focuses on maintaining reliability in waste collection vehicles through advanced repairs and safety compliance.

In the Red Seal Truck Technician/Apprentice position, you will diagnose complex issues in diesel engines and collaborate closely with other technicians and operations staff. Your responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance and mentoring newer technicians, all while upholding safety standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and electrical systems

• Carry out preventive maintenance and safety tasks

• Mentor apprentice technicians throughout their program

• Keep the work environment clean and well-organized

• Work closely with supervisors and drivers to ensure efficiency

Requirements:

• Must possess or be actively pursuing a valid Journeyperson Certificate

• Valid Driver’s Licence and familiarity with MVI inspections

• Technical expertise in hydraulic and electrical repairs

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to adapt to fast-paced work and varying hours
