Lead Heavy Equipment Maintenance Team

Harbour Construction is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead Heavy Equipment Maintenance in Nova Scotia. This role emphasizes team leadership, maintenance coordination, and safety promotion.

As the Shop Foreman, you’ll manage the workflow of skilled Mechanics, ensuring that maintenance and repair tasks meet company standards. Your guidance is essential for maintaining equipment used in critical operations like grading and utilities. The position also involves cultivating a culture of teamwork and accountability among shop staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to shop personnel and apprentices

• Coordinate daily maintenance and repair activities

• Ensure parts and resources are available for repairs

• Monitor safety compliance through regular inspections

• Assist in troubleshooting and complex repairs

Requirements:

• Certification as a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician

• At least 5 years in heavy equipment maintenance

• Proven supervisory experience in a related field

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
