We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shop Foreman to join our team. The Shop Foreman will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our repair shop, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in heavy‑duty truck repair, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday, 10:30am - 9:00pm
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Schedule and prioritize repair jobs to optimize workflow and minimize turnaround time.
- Possess strong technical knowledge to assist technicians in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
- Collaborate with service writers to ensure effective communication and customer satisfaction.
- Review completed repair orders to ensure proper description and accurate coding of work performed.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all relevant safety regulations and protocols.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures to ensure high‑quality service.
- Identify training needs for the team and provide ongoing coaching.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Shop Foreperson or similar leadership role in the truck and transport repair setting.
- Strong technical background with expertise in diagnosing and repair as a heavy‑duty mechanic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and interact with clients.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
- Proficient in shop management software and computer skills.
