Carpenter (Journeyman or Red Seal)

Monk Renovations () focuses on residential renovations, typically bathrooms, kitchens, basements, and additions.

• Demolition, framing, insulation
• Drywall (hang/mud & tape) & paint
• Flooring installation (tile, hardwood, laminate, LVT)
• Trim, interior doors & cabinets
• Minor plumbing, minor electrical
• Organize materials and labor (own & subcontracted) for various renovation projects
• Coordinate material delivery as required
• Communicate project details with clients and crews
• Supervise completion of work (on time & on budget)

• Pay rate: $35-40/hr based on a typical 40-45 hr work week
• Vacation pay: 4% accrued and paid on vacation days
• Cell phone allowance: $20/mo for use of personal cell phone for company business
• Medical/dental: 50/50 cost share program
• Pension: 50/50 shared plan, MONK matches up to 3% of gross wages
• Truck allowance: $600/mo for use of personal 1/2 ton truck only
• Mileage reimbursement: $0.55/km based on mileage logs
• Tools: $0.50/hr will be paid for use of personal tools

• Residential carpentry experience as noted above
• Valid Canadian driver’s license
• Ability to work in Canada (Canadian citizen or valid work visa)
• Own tools (hand & power tools)
• Own reliable vehicle, preferably a truck
