Become a vital part of Miller Waste Systems as a Red Seal Truck Technician in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This permanent full-time role focuses on diagnosing and repairing waste collection vehicles.

At Miller Waste Systems, you will be responsible for maintaining fleet reliability through expert repairs and preventive maintenance. This role includes mentorship for apprentice technicians and adherence to safety protocols. With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you'll collaborate with Operations Supervisors to ensure efficient service delivery to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and electrical systems

• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections

• Mentor apprentice technicians during their training

• Maintain cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas

• Liaise professionally with operations staff and drivers

Requirements:

• Valid Journeyperson Certificate and Driver’s License

• Experience in hydraulic and electrical system repairs

• Strong technical knowledge of vehicles and equipment

• Excellent communication and self-management skills

• Familiarity with transportation regulations and MVI inspections
