Job Requirements- Salary Pay Range – Non-certified: $115 per day; after 21 consecutive days (same position) $120 per day; after 60 consecutive days $130 per day. Certified: $130 per day; after 21 consecutive days $140 per day; after 60 consecutive days B1 of Salary Schedule.
- MA DESE Certification in Special Education/Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (5-12).
- Master’s Degree preferred with demonstrated ability to work with all students creatively, sensitively, and thoughtfully.
- Extensive knowledge of MA State and Federal regulations.
- Knowledge of MA Curriculum Frameworks.
- Familiar with MCAS and MCAS-ALT.
- Ability to develop and implement effective Individualized Educational Plans (IEP).
- Knowledge of the TEAM process.
- Ability to integrate related services into the planning and delivery of instruction on a daily basis.
- Knowledge of building-based support TEAMS.
- Ability to administer formal/informal assessments and document results/recommendations in written report.
- Demonstrates knowledge of specialized reading programs.
- Consult with and support regular educators and related service providers.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
