Job DescriptionThe School Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological assessment and services to students. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, coordinating services, consulting with staff, and developing behavior plans. The position requires a certified Massachusetts School Psychologist, a master’s degree, and experience in educational settings.
Performance Responsibilities- Ongoing assessment of referred students (psycho educational evaluations and FBA).
- Coordinate, facilitate, and chair TEAM meetings.
- Administer assessments for postsecondary and job placement.
- Coordinate transition for postsecondary placement.
- Consult with staff to support building-based support teams.
- Consult/support staff to develop/implement behavior management plans.
- Assist with in‑service training of school personnel.
- Conduct research as appropriate.
- Serve as a resource, maintaining knowledge of current evaluation methods and practices.
- Demonstrate effective communication with staff and parents.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to meet job requirements.
- Accept requests deemed necessary by the Executive Director of Student Services.
- Certified DESE Massachusetts School Psychologist.
- Master’s degree.
- At least three years of experience in an educational setting (preferred).
- Leadership, coordination, and facilitation of educational teams.
- Extensive knowledge of Massachusetts Department of Education regulations and IDEA regulations.
- Experience acting as a TEAM Chairperson (preferred).
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
Salary and working conditions according to the terms and conditions of the negotiated agreement with the Dartmouth Educators’ Association.
