Material Handler - 1st Shift

Job Description

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. Headquarters located in Cary, N.C., we serve customers across new construction and Repair & Remodel markets.

Base Pay starts at $20.00 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift, 5:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Thursday.

• Responsible for proper movement of all materials
• Accurate issuing and stocking of production lines
• Cycle counting of raw materials as required
• Proper picking and loading of finished goods
• Assures finished goods are accurately loaded and handled with care
• Assures manufacturing loads are accurate and properly combined
• Assures scrap material is properly weighed and prepared for pick up
• Safe operation of forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc.
• Other related duties as assigned

• SAP experience preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to understand shipping and packing lists
• Must have adequate computer skills to operate related automated systems
• Strong attention to detail and accurate cycle counting skills
• Heavy lifting, driving a forklift and handling pallet jacks
• Be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the warehouse
• Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations
• Read, write, speak, and understand English. (bi‑lingual is a plus)
• Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Heavy lifting
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
