We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Nurse Director to lead clinical operations across our ophthalmology ambulatory surgical centers in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, and Warwick, Rhode Island.

As Regional Nurse Director, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across two established ambulatory surgery centers while partnering directly with the Executive Leadership Team, Eye Surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff. You will play a key role in shaping operations, supporting employees, managing resources, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities Clinical & Operational Leadership
  • Provide regional nursing leadership and oversight for the Dartmouth, MA and Warwick, RI ambulatory surgical centers.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative experience.
  • Partner closely with Eye Surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical leadership to optimize surgical flow, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee daily nursing operations and proactively identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and the patient experience.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
  • Support a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Employee Relations
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, develop, and retain talented nursing and clinical staff.
  • Create and maintain effective staffing schedules that support patient volume, surgical needs, and appropriate staffing levels.
  • Manage employee relations with professionalism, consistency, and a commitment to a positive workplace culture.
  • Conduct performance management, coaching, and staff development activities.
  • Identify opportunities for staff education, engagement, and professional growth.
  • Serve as a visible and approachable leader for the nursing and clinical teams.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor nursing and operational budgets.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership to establish financial goals and identify opportunities for responsible cost management.
  • Monitor staffing, supplies, equipment, and other resources to ensure efficient operations without compromising patient care.
  • Participate in capital planning and operational decision-making.
AAAHC Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance
  • Serve as the clinical leader responsible for AAAHC compliance and accreditation readiness.
  • Lead ongoing preparation for surveys, including policy review, staff education, documentation, quality initiatives, and regulatory readiness.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable state, federal, and professional standards.
  • Develop and oversee quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities.
  • Maintain a culture of continuous survey readiness rather than preparing only when an accreditation survey is approaching.
