The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing the facility’s ammonia refrigeration systems. This role ensures equipment runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

- Monitor and maintain ammonia compressors, condensers, pumps, fans, chillers, and freezers.
- Complete preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve system performance.
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration and mechanical system issues.
- Monitor leak detection systems and respond to alarms.
- Conduct inspections and document system readings.
- Assist with PSM and EPA compliance documentation.
- Maintain inventory of refrigerant and repair parts.
- Keep engine rooms clean and organized.
- Basic knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.
- 2–3 years of refrigeration experience.
- Equivalent training or education.
