Job Description
- Informs Facilities Director and/or Manager of potential issues interfering with project completion and advises on equipment breakdowns or failures.
- Establishes and maintains courteous, cooperative relations when interacting with vendors, contractors, and hospital employees.
- Demonstrates proper care of the hospital’s environment during projects and responds to work orders promptly and efficiently.
- Performs assigned corrective maintenance, wears personal protective equipment when required, and demonstrates proficiency in operation and maintenance of all installed equipment.
- Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned.
- Coordinates all engineering projects as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Director of Facilities.
- Acts as a site coordinator for construction and renovation projects, obtaining estimates from vendors.
- Participates in planning and design of projects, coordinating all meetings with vendors, contractors, and hospital employees.
- Coordinates activities of contract/vendor personnel working on-site and prepares daily project status summary reports.
- Manages projects to ensure they are on schedule and within budget at all times.
- Maintains all drawings and construction documents/files in an organized system.
- Completes and oversees ICRA requirements and designs and implements Interim Life Safety measures as necessary.
- Responds to project concerns/complaints promptly and efficiently, achieving appropriate solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Able to communicate in English [Required]
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
