Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Overview

Garden Core is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk who is responsible for the overall shipping and receiving function, including related administrative tasks. This position may support other related departments or functions. The role is on site in Davenport, FL with a schedule of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The schedule is subject to change and may require mandatory overtime during the busy season, including extended weekdays and weekend hours.

• Receive and locate all incoming material from trucks and other sources into the ROI locations provided
• Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks
• Check in goods and supplies at time of receiving
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure packaging meets specifications
• Prepare BOL for shipping trucks
• Help control inventory by following pick ticket rules and regulations
• Responsible for material transfer
• Deliver paperwork to the inventory office in a timely manner after issues
• Responsible for customer order entry
• Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
• Print and assess any changes in Dispatch Reports that may need expediting

• High school diploma or GED
• Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must be able to move or lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent walking, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, standing, extending arms to reach, etc.
• Able to work in dusty, small, noisy, hot and cold environments
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
