This is a full‑time, on‑site Receptionist role based in Davenport, IA. The Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, greeting customers, answering phones, and directing inquiries to the appropriate team members. Daily responsibilities include managing the front desk, scheduling appointments, handling basic clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining records, and supporting showroom operations.
The role also involves responding to customer questions about store hours, services, and general information, and ensuring the reception area remains tidy and welcoming. The Receptionist will collaborate with sales and design staff to support an efficient, customer‑centered environment.
- Strong customer‑facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication abilities to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
- Experience with core Receptionist Duties and Phone Etiquette, including greeting visitors, answering and routing calls, and managing inquiries.
- Proficiency in Clerical Skills, such as filing, data entry, appointment scheduling, and basic office administration.
- Ability to use common office software (e.g., email, calendars, spreadsheets) and operate standard office equipment.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy showroom environment.
- Prior experience in a retail, showroom, or office reception role is beneficial; familiarity with lighting or interior design industries is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in office administration or customer service is an advantage.
