Position Summary

Charles

F. Day & Associates, LLC (CFDay) is seeking qualified candidates to support the U.S. Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC) Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) Credentialing Program. This position is contingent upon contract award. The LEOSA Credentialing Program Specialist will support the processing, verification, production, tracking, and administration of LEOSA credentials for eligible active‑duty U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force personnel.

The successful candidate will work with applicant documentation, eligibility requirements, electronic records, credential production processes, and applicant inquiries while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and responsive customer service.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Receive, review, and process electronic LEOSA credential applications.
  • Review applicant documentation for completeness and accuracy, including identification documents, photographs, law‑enforcement qualifications, and supporting records.
  • Support applicant eligibility verification in accordance with LEOSA program requirements, applicable laws, regulations, and Government guidance.
  • Conduct or support required background and eligibility verification activities.
  • Maintain accurate application status and credential issuance records.
  • Enter, update, validate, and retrieve information from program databases and electronic recordkeeping systems.
  • Coordinate with applicants to obtain missing or corrected documentation.
  • Provide professional customer support concerning application status, documentation requirements, credential changes, replacements, and other program matters.
  • Support production and quality‑control activities for secure photographic credentials.
  • Protect sensitive applicant and program information in accordance with applicable Government and company requirements.
  • Coordinate effectively with CFDay program management and AFSFC representatives.
  • Support reports, complaint resolution, credential inventory, mailing/shipping, and other program administration as assigned.
  • Cross‑train in credential production and other program functions to support continuity of operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience supporting law enforcement, security, credentialing, personnel vetting, background investigations, records management, identity management, or a closely related function.
  • Demonstrated ability to review detailed documentation and make accurate, consistent administrative determinations.
  • Strong computer skills and experience working with electronic databases, web‑based applications, or records‑management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information professionally and appropriately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with applicants, Government personnel, and internal team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple applications and priorities while meeting established processing standards.
  • Ability to work independently within established procedures and elevate unusual eligibility or documentation issues appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior U.S. Air Force Security Forces experience.
  • Prior U.S. Space Force, military police, civilian law‑enforcement, or DoD law‑enforcement program experience.
  • Familiarity with the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA), 18 U.S.C. §§ 926B/926C, or DoD LEOSA implementation.
  • Experience with law‑enforcement credentialing, badge/, personnel vetting, or background investigation support.
  • Experience reviewing military personnel, training, firearms qualification, or law‑enforcement records.
  • Experience supporting a Federal Government or DoD contract.
