Job Description

This Part-Time position administers the High School Equivalency tests and other related assessments in accordance with testing services policies and procedures. This person must be able to type accurately, have knowledge and experience in record keeping, have computer knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, possess excellent customer service skills, and have the ability to meet deadlines.

On-site work at Clinton Community College

Required Qualifications

Associate Degree; or some college and prior testing experience. Must pass HiSET and CASAS eLearning certifications. Strong computer skills and ability to troubleshoot and/or work with technical staff to resolve potential issues required. Strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands

Extended sitting, extended computer usage, standing, bending, use of office equipment, lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Salary $14.81/Hour Typical Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manages the testing and assessment schedules for assigned sites. Schedules and administers testing sessions in keeping with district testing calendar.

2. Ensures that the workstations have been prepared for test delivery.

3. Performs a readiness check prior to each scheduled test administration.

4. Checks-in the test takers at the administrative station verifying identity and eligibility.

5. Ensures the security of the test center by maintaining testing surveillance logs, seating charts and other documentation as required.

6. Prepares a written inventory of all secure testing materials received by Educational Testing Services (ETS) and CASAS used during each test administration and maintain the inventory documentation in the secure storage area.

7. Files Center Problem Reports (CPRs) testing irregularities with Chief Examiner.

8. Adheres to HiSET and CASAS policies regarding preparing and submitting testing materials for scoring.

9. Coordinates activities with other proctor(s).

10. Ensures that the testing room is supervised at all times.

11. Assists in testing in other HSE EICC testing centers as needed. Arranges for extra help if necessary.

12. Is committed to providing quality service that meets or exceeds the expectations of internal and external customers.

13. Perform other duties as assigned.
