New hires:
Entry level rate $15.99/hr current employees in the bargaining unit: refer to salary schedule established by the applicable bargaining group
- Work collaboratively with teachers in MTSS to assist in the success of all students
- Teach, model, and support PBIS in all building situations
- Work with students in skills room
- Ability to work with all students
- Computer skills necessary to input data into student data system and manipulate spreadsheets
- With classroom teachers, establish a positive learning environment while maintaining a structured setting
- Assist with and support classroom teacher with instruction
- Work collaboratively with teachers using developmentally appropriate practices, including following teacher’s direction for instruction
- Assist teacher in monitoring students’ progress by keeping necessary records and giving feedback as requested
- Willingness to work with students positively to develop and/or enhance self-discipline; resolve conflicts; communicate and relate to students in a non-threatening and friendly manner
- Maintain patience and positive interpersonal skills with all students
- Walk hallways during class time or passing time, reporting any issues to office staff
- Communicate with instructional staff daily regarding instruction and student issues
- Possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each student reaches his/her full potential
- Good attendance and punctuality are a must
- Skilled in MTSS or willing to be trained/knowledgeable
- Skilled in PBIS or willing to be trained/knowledgeable
- Other duties as assigned by building administrator
- Stand for a period of time
- Walk for extended period of time
- Lifts/pushes/pulls 50 lbs
- Good attendance a must for success in this position
- Must be flexible due to changes in schedule and student population
- Experience working with at-risk students a plus
- Proven track record of building rapport with culturally diverse students and their families to assure each student reaches his or her full academic potential
