Trinity Church School, a Christ-centered Lutheran school affiliated with the LCMS, seeks a passionate and creative K–8 Art Teacher to inspire students to explore their God-given artistic talents. The Art Teacher will design and implement an engaging curriculum that nurtures creativity, artistic skills, and an appreciation for beauty as a reflection of God’s creation. The ideal candidate will integrate faith into all aspects of instruction and model Christian values in daily interactions.

• Instruction & Curriculum
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum aligned with school standards and Lutheran educational philosophy.
  • Teach art to students in grades K–8, incorporating a variety of media, techniques, and art history.
  • Foster an environment where students can express creativity while understanding art as a reflection of God’s world and their faith.
  • Integrate Christian worldview and Scripture-based principles into lessons where appropriate.
• Classroom Management & Student Engagement
  • Create a positive, respectful, and organized classroom environment.
  • Encourage collaboration, imagination, and individual artistic growth.
  • Assess and document student progress through projects, portfolios, and other assessments.
• School Community & Collaboration
  • Coordinate art displays, exhibitions, and student showcases throughout the school year.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to integrate art into cross-curricular projects.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, chapel services, school events, and professional development opportunities as requested.
• Faith Integration
  • Model Christ-centered behavior and serve as a spiritual role model for students.
  • Support the mission and ministry of the school and its LCMS congregation.
  • Encourage students to recognize and use their artistic gifts in service to God and others.
