Substitute Teacher

Davenport Community School District is currently hiring substitute teachers for the 2026-27 school year

To substitute teach in the State of Iowa you must hold a current Iowa Teaching License, Iowa Substitute Teaching License, or Iowa Substitute Authorization License.

• Base Rate - $175/full day, $87.50/half day
• Long Term Rate (20 or more consecutive days in the same classroom) - $220/full day, $110/half day
• Retired Teacher rate - $200/full day, $100/half day

Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.
