Responsibilities- Teach multiple industrial technology courses and an advisory section.
- Communicate and work cooperatively with students, staff, and parents to maintain a positive climate in the school.
- Work in a team atmosphere, including collaboration with teacher teams.
- Build relationships and maintain high academic and behavioral standards for all students.
- Develop rapport with culturally diverse students so each child can reach their full potential.
- Communicate regularly with all stakeholders.
- Make accommodations and differentiate instruction based on student needs.
- Implement building-wide PBIS practices in support of building and district goals.
- Support and implement multi‑tiered systems of support (MTSS) for academics and behavior.
- Integrate new technology‑based strategies into the classroom.
- Attend and actively participate in all building and district professional development.
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality to perform duties successfully.
- Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
- Experience with a 4‑Block schedule and related strategies is desired.
- Willingness to accept supervisory duties that promote a positive building environment.
- Ability to organize work time effectively.
- Excellent attendance history and work record.
- Understanding of confidentiality with respect to student and parental rights and handling of hard copy information.
- Experience with Project Lead the Way (PLTW) or willingness to be trained.
- Willingness to learn, operate, and promote technology.
- Sit, stand, speak, hear, see, and walk to carry out routine duties.
- Occasionally lift, move, or push items up to 50 lbs (e.g., assisting children or moving furniture).
- Supervise students in all types of weather.
- Meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
- Implement Crisis Prevention Intervention strategies, including appropriate physical restraint procedures and escorting.
- Noise level ranging from quiet to loud.
- Work may be indoors and/or outdoors.
- Work may be in non‑air‑conditioned rooms.
- Substance‑free environment.
- Fast‑paced atmosphere with constant contact with students, staff, or the public.
- Direct responsibility for the safety, well‑being, and work output of students.
