Staff Metallurgical Engineer, Davenport, IA
Industry: Aerospace / Aluminum Manufacturing
Salary: $85K–$90K + Full Benefits + Relocation

What You’ll Do — Staff Metallurgical Engineer- Lead resolution of quality and process issues in manufacturing or lab environments
- Support and improve products, processes, and equipment based on customer requirements
- Ensure ISO compliance and process control standards
- Partner with operations, shift leaders, and production teams to drive performance
- Provide technical leadership across the plant
Note:
Some off-shift/weekend support may be required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
- 3+ years of metallurgical experience
- Must be a U.S. person (ITAR requirement) and authorized to work in the U.S.
- 6+ years of metallurgical experience
- Experience with quality systems (IATF/TS16949 or AS9100)
- Lean manufacturing and statistical methods
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy, alloy systems, heat treatment, casting, rolling, and failure analysis
- Experience in metals or aluminum manufacturing
- Familiarity with Nadcap audits (thermal processing/materials testing)
