Job Description
Lead Reliability Engineer – responsible for results in Environment, Health and Safety, Productivity, Asset Management, People Development, Cost Control and Quality using ABS systems such as TPM, Kaizen, problem‑solving, daily Management, 5S, etc. Works primarily day shifts, but is expected to work night shift and weekends as required.
Responsibilities- Development of equipment, system and location hierarchy
- Performance of criticality analysis and determination of risk priority numbers for the site’s assets
- Organize team’s efforts for reliability across facility
- Performance of RCM/FMEA on critical assets
- Development of equipment maintenance plans
- Coordination of the implementation of reliability‑based maintenance strategies
- Definition of reliability based queries and reports to support continuous improvement
- Performance of RCA’s on contributors to yield, utilization and capacity losses (attributed to equipment, processes, etc.)
- Identification and resolution of chronic failures
- Calculation and optimization of asset life‑cycle costs
- Provision of support to site’s Business Interruption/Loss Prevention programs
- Provision of support to site’s EHS programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering or a similar field
- Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum 5 years of reliability experience in a manufacturing setting
- Strong background in using maintenance reliability tools
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work accurately and to work with cross‑functional teams effectively
- Ability to lead and drive cultural change in a positive manner, influencing others on new concepts
- Experience with (and understanding of) lean manufacturing techniques
- Strong oral and written communication skills in a variety of settings (shop floor, peers, plant leadership, etc.)
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field
- Prior supervisory experience in a plant‑like setting
