Job Description1st Shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM OT hours if requested - between 5-8 hours
Your ResponsibilitiesAs an OFP Assembly ME for JD Davenport Works located in Davenport, IA, supporting the Articulated Dump Truck (ADT) assembly line, you will:
- Work with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Lead and manage small to moderate scope capital projects
- Establish and maintain layouts, labor standards, methods and sequence of events for assembly operations
- Analyze, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies
- Provide support and troubleshooting for current assembly operations
- 3 or more years of experience with manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, preventative maintenance, and facilities
- Experience with engineering tools and manufacturing execution systems
- Experience leading and implementing projects in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills with operators, peers, and leadership
- Self‑motivated and able to execute with minimal supervision
Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology discipline or equivalent related work experience
(Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical engineering preferred)
Additional Qualifications- Strong personal accountability, follow-through, and ability to foster a positive, engaged team environment
- Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas for Articulated Dump Truck assembly operations
