Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per year
Job DetailsRole Overview:
This position is responsible for leading site-wide reliability initiatives within a manufacturing environment. The Lead Reliability Engineer drives preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, reduces chronic equipment issues, and partners closely with operations, maintenance, and leadership to improve asset performance, safety, and cost control.
- Establish and maintain clear equipment, system, and location hierarchies
- Conduct asset criticality assessments and define risk priorities
- Lead and coordinate reliability efforts across departments
- Perform Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and FMEA on critical assets
- Develop and refine maintenance strategies and equipment care plans
- Coordinate execution of reliability-based maintenance programs
- Build reliability-focused reporting and queries to support continuous improvement
- Lead root cause analyses related to downtime, yield loss, capacity constraints, and quality issues
- Identify recurring equipment failures and drive sustainable corrective actions
- Evaluate and optimize asset life-cycle costs
- Support business interruption prevention and loss mitigation initiatives
- Partner with Environmental, Health, and Safety teams to support site programs

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related discipline
- At least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 5 years focused on reliability or asset management
- Strong working knowledge of maintenance and reliability methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and lead cross-functional initiatives
- Proven capability to influence change and elevate reliability culture
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools
- Effective communicator across shop floor, technical, and leadership audiences
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a plant or heavy manufacturing environment
