Mechanical Engineer
Design and support new product development and current product support utilizing Creo design software. This role will focus on project concept, prototyping, and manufacturing of products including tooling and machines for powder coating and painting, both wet and dry. Additionally, this role involves assisting the illustration team with manuals and collaborating closely with the manufacturing team.
Responsibilities- Design and develop new products using Creo design software.
- Support current product development and enhancement.
- Focus on project concepts, prototyping, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with the illustration team to assist in manual preparation.
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure product quality and functionality.
- Design products such as tooling and machines for powder coating and painting.
- Utilize experience with pressurized vessels, sheet metal, weldment design, powertrain design, and belt/chain drives.
- Proficiency in Creo design software.
- Strong experience in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in design and prototyping of mechanical machines.
- Expertise in new product development and sheet metal design.
- Knowledge of pressurized vessels, pneumatic cylinders, and powertrain design.
Skills & Qualifications
- Exposure to electronic solenoids is a plus.
- Familiarity with ASME standards, particularly with pressurized vessels, is advantageous.
The work environment is office-based with occasional hands-on prototyping involvement. The team is small and laid back, allowing for flexibility in schedules for personal appointments. JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $44.00/hr.
