Engineer-In-Training Position

We are seeking a motivated Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our Land Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience, work alongside experienced professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects that shape growing communities.

This role is ideal for someone looking for structured career development, mentorship, and a clear path toward licensure and long-term advancement, including future leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of land development projects from concept through construction
  • Support preparation of site layouts, grading, drainage, and utility design plans
  • Perform engineering calculations and assist with technical analysis
  • Collaborate with internal teams across multiple disciplines
  • Assist with preparation of reports, specifications, and permit submittals
  • Support project managers with budget tracking and scheduling tasks
  • Participate in client meetings and coordination with regulatory agencies
  • Ensure accuracy and quality in design and documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6–12 months
  • 0–4 years of experience in civil engineering or land development
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Desire to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
