Mortgage Officer

Base Pay: $48750.00 - $66750.00 / Year

Employee Type: FT Exempt

• The Mortgage Officer is responsible for supporting new and existing customers in selecting appropriate mortgage loan products. Manages the full mortgage process from application through closing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong customer service.

• Meet with customers to assess needs and recommend suitable mortgage products.
• Assist applicants with completing and submitting accurate loan applications and required documentation.
• Analyze financial information (income, credit, property value) to make credit decisions for portfolio real estate loans.
• Prepare tailored loan proposals and lock rates on secondary market products.
• Review loan files for accuracy; resolve issues during processing and underwriting.
• Track loan progress and provide updates from application to closing.
• Coordinate with processors, underwriters, closing partners, and real estate professionals.
• Maintain knowledge of Fannie Mae guidelines and federal, state, and local lending regulations.
• Stay current on mortgage industry trends; participate in training and professional development.
• Build and maintain referral relationships to generate ongoing business.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Completion of NMLS pre licensure courses.

• Strong communication, sales, and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data and make sound decisions.
• Excellent organization, time management, and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency with mortgage loan software and industry tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
