Asset Management & Desktop Support Technician

We are seeking an Asset Management & Desktop Support Technician to support the full hardware lifecycle, including asset management, device imaging, shipping and receiving, and technical support. This role is responsible for preparing, deploying, tracking, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows and Apple devices while delivering excellent customer service in a corporate IT environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate inventory records for laptops, desktops, peripherals, and accessories.
- Track hardware throughout its lifecycle, including receiving, staging, deployment, returns, repairs, and retirement.
- Update asset information within inventory management and ticketing systems to ensure accurate records.
- Image Windows and Apple devices using standardized deployment tools.
- Configure, test, and validate hardware prior to deployment or shipment.
- Verify all equipment meets established quality, security, and compliance standards before distribution.
- Receive and inspect incoming hardware shipments to verify accuracy and condition.
- Package and ship equipment to end users and field locations.
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation, asset labeling, and tracking information.
- Diagnose and repair basic hardware issues on Windows and Apple devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve printer and peripheral hardware problems.
- Assist with basic wireless and network connectivity troubleshooting.
- Support virus detection and removal using approved security tools.
- 1-2+ years of corporate desk-side, depot, or hardware support experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and replacing hardware components on Windows and Apple devices.
- Familiarity with Windows 10, Windows 11, and Apple operating environments.
- Basic experience with Active Directory, including user lookups, password resets, and device verification.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, and Outlook Web Access (OWA).
- Ability to troubleshoot wireless connectivity and basic network issues.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting VPN connectivity, basic printer hardware, and utilizing the following tools:
- Symantec Endpoint Protection
- Bit Locker
- SCCM
- Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)
