4 hr Custodian – 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Davenport Community Schools

Hiring Status

External applicants welcome. Posting open until filled. New hire entry‑level rate $17.84 per hour. Current employees with seniority refer to bargaining unit salary schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities

Vacuum all areas – hard & soft surfaces
Reposition furniture correctly
Dust & vacuum ceiling vents
Remove trash
Vacuum upholstered furniture
Assist with deep cleaning during break periods – stripping, scrub & recoat; clean restrooms, glass & furniture
Remove snow
Minor grounds keeping
Lawn mowing
Assist with delivery of supplies
Properly maintain equipment
Report maintenance issues to Head & Lead Custodian
Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift & carry up to 56 lb. Ability to climb up to an 8‑ft ladder and perform custodial tasks such as cleaning light fixtures. Ability to climb steps and work on uneven ground. Ability to understand and follow oral instructions. (Additional general qualifications apply as per custodian job description.)
