Job DetailsAs a CNC Operator/Machinist, you will be stepping into a vital role within our dynamic manufacturing environment. This position offers you the chance to work with state-of-the-art machinery and technology, contributing to the production of high-quality products that are integral to a variety of industries. Your expertise in CNC operation and machining will be vital as you work across shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient operations at all times.
This role requires a high level of precision, technical knowledge, and a commitment to quality.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills and lathes, to execute production tasks with precision and efficiency.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand the job requirements and set up the machine accordingly.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers to inspect and verify the dimensions of parts.
- Adjust machine settings (offsets) as required to maintain accuracy and meet production standards.
- Identify and resolve issues with machines or parts, troubleshooting as necessary to ensure continuous operation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Collaborate with team members and other shifts to ensure seamless transitions and consistent productivity.
- Provide consultation and expert advice on machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to improve overall efficiency and productivity.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a CNC Operator/Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Proficiency in the use of precision measuring tools, including calipers and gauges.
- Extensive experience with machine set-ups and adjustments (offsets).
- Familiarity with a variety of CNC machines, including mills and lathes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Must be able to work both 2nd and 3rd shifts, with flexibility as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members across shifts.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to all company protocols and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in CNC operation or machining is preferred.
