Plant Operator (Cylinder Filler/Loader)

• Safely handle and fill gas products into liquid, medical and high‑pressure gas cylinders in compliance with federal, state, local regulations and Airgas standard operating procedures.
• Load and unload cylinder gases per Airgas procedures, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Perform cylinder analyses and support alignment with government and company standards, including calculating gas mixtures, documenting results, and ensuring mixtures can be safely made.
• Identify and coordinate cylinder and valve combinations to ensure compatibility with the mix and compliance.
• Operate control panels containing valves and pressure gauges, and scales with a precision‑oriented approach to gas mixtures.
• Complete accurate records to capture all production actions.
• Uphold and promote company procedures and government regulations relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse/material‑handling equipment; load/unload cylinders on/off pallets, ensuring they are strapped in.
• Contribute to team success as needed.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of related technical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Adherence to Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, and procedures applicable to this position.
• Ability to calculate rate, ratios, and percent; demonstrate knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

• Prior experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP system.
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications.
